White Riding Hood     2024

White Riding Hood is the twelfth in a series of photographs which visually weave together encoded cultural messages of personal social histories and elaborates the identity of this young woman.

White Riding Hood creates a kind of fairy tale in which a young girl, sandwiched between two brothers, grew up riding dirt bikes and horses. As a young woman on the cusp of her future she dresses in her prom dress and white faux fur jacket to return to the barn where she always rode her horse. She combines her past with her present and rides into the woods to a future that is unknown.
