Élan of the Feminine     2016

Élan of the Feminine is a body of small-scale sculpture that embodies the spirit of the feminine.  Porcelain sculptures of the female form evoke feminine attributes and postures or as in Eve, the myth.

The Vesica Piscis, double-pointed oval symbol for female, is represented through small wall sculptures of wood with artifacts attached such as bones, thorns, quills and hair. These elements of nature and body hark to woman and her relationship to earth.
